This tutorial covers a few basic methods for creating 'indoor' levels which can be used in games or rendered fly-throughs or whatever.

Though texturing your levels is of high importance, I will not be covering any texturing methods to help you, there are plenty of UVW Mapping and Unwrapping tutorials on the Internet... There's just no point in bringing out yet another one.

The main idea behind this tutorial, is not to dive into level modelling so fast that you end up on the other side without much of a clue, but to rather spend time creating a few “ developer tools ” which, after creation, can be used over and over again... an infinite amount of times. Think of it like making a house out of lego, first you get your pieces, then you start building. The advantage we have over lego though, is that we can manipulate our pieces, and essentially, design our own.

This is by no means a Level "Design" tutorial.

This is not an advanced tutorial, I've written it with complete beginners in mind, trying to explain things as best I can, and when failing that... Using images and animations to get things going.

You'll notice that most of the images are tagged with a copyright from MonkeyDid.co.uk, fear not, i'm no thief. That was just my old domain.

Alright then, Head over to Page 2 ... where the "fun" begins.
